2CY Gear Pump Instructions:

· Before starting gear pump, check whether the pump shaft rotates flexibly, whether there is any blockage, whether the valve on the inlet and outlet pipe is open, and whether the rotation direction of the pump is correct.
· A certain amount of lubricating fluid should be injected into the pump cavity before starting the pump that has not been used for a long time, in order to reduce the dry moraxella in the process of oil absorption and improve the self-priming performance of the pump.
· In case of abnormal noise or overheating after startup, stop and check immediately.

Seal and preheat

· Check whether there is leakage at the shaft end of the pump, such as: properly tighten the sealing cover of the packing seal, and disassemble the other seals for inspection.
· If the hot oil is transported, it should be preheated evenly when driving. Preheating is carried out by using the medium to be transported continuously through the pump body
· Preheating standard: The oil temperature of the suction inlet shall not be higher than the pump body temperature of 40°C. When the heating rate of preheating is controlled to be less than 40°C, the bolts fixed on the pump body shall be loosened during preheating and tightened after preheating.

(I) Preparation and inspection before starting:

1. The oil pumps of this series are lubricated with high-quality calcium butter and No. 10 oil respectively according to their operating conditions. If pump is lubricated with butter, the bearing box should be filled with butter regularly; if the pump is lubricated with oil, the oil level should be fully added.
2. Check whether the liquid storage in the pump shell is higher than upper edge impeller. If it is insufficient, liquid storage can be directly injected into pump body from liquid filling port on pump shell.
3. Check whether rotating parts of the pump are stuck or knocked against.
4. Check whether bottom foot of the pump body and the nuts at connection are loose.
5. Check the coaxiality or parallelism of the pump shaft and motor spindle.
6. Check whether there is air leakage in the inlet pipeline. If there is air leakage, try to remove it.
7. Open inlet valve, slightly (not fully) open outlet control valve.

(2) Stop the pump

1. The gate valve on the discharge line must be closed first.
2. Stop the pump.
3. In the cold season, the liquid storage in the pump body and the water in the cooling chamber bearing body should be emptised to prevent freezing and cracking of the machine parts.
